Young Start: (de)code landscapes

We are delighted to announce that the Templar Arts and Leisure Centre have been successful in their application for Young Start, Big lottery funding for the project (de)code landscapes.
The project series (de)code landscapes is for young people, ages 12-25 and is about interpreting their natural surroundings for themselves, their communities and visitors of Argyll and Bute. This programme will offer drop-in sessions (every Tuesday after the digital craft sessions, 4–6:30pm from 26 April 2016 – September 2017), which are also open to adults, to experiment with a mix of traditional craft techniques and new technology.
The programme also includes work taster days for young people in glass engraving, wallpaper design and textile design with local artists and talc.’s digital artists. There will be Experimentation Days and a Summer school for the young people in 2017.

We strongly believe this is a great opportunity for talc., the young people and the area!
